Houma native Rachel South Boquet provides legal services to individuals, families and small businesses in the areas of estate planning, successions, special needs trusts, and continuing tutorships. She also supports the firm in its general civil practice. While a student at the Loyola University New Orleans School of Law, Rachel served as Managing Editor of the Loyola Law Review and was recognized with the Warren E. Mouledoux Editor-in-Chief’s Award for outstanding service and dedication. Rachel was a Judicial Extern for Louisiana Supreme Court Justice Jeannette Theriot Knoll and Clerk for the Honorable John R. Walker of the 32nd Judicial District Court before entering private practice specializing in estate planning and successions. She joined the firm of Duval, Funderburk, Sundbery, Richard and Watkins in 2017. She and her husband and their three daughters reside in Houma where Rachel is an associate member of the Junior Auxiliary and has volunteered and served in various leadership positions for St. Matthew’s Episcopal School and St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church. Professionally, Rachel is a member of the New Orleans Estate Planning Council and the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys.
