Mr. Funderburk was born in New Orleans, but has spent nearly the entirety of his life in Houma, Louisiana. He participated actively in football and baseball from an early age and graduated from St. Francis de Sales High School in 1961. Participating in team sports taught him how to compete which carried over to a great degree in his success as a trial lawyer which he has pursued diligently since May 1969. He and his wife, Yoli, have three daughters and seven grandchildren which, besides golf, has become his hobby.
